Breast
Enlargement or Augmentation is a popular
cosmetic surgical procedure to increase the
size and volume of a woman’s breasts via
implants. In addition to elevating cup size
and attaining fuller breast appearance, the
procedure can also help achieve better breast-to-body
proportion, attain symmetry between disproportional
breasts, and generally lead to better self-image
for women.
Patients undergoing breast enlargement procedure
can generally make a choice between two primary
types of breast implants: saline-filled and
silicone-gel-filled implants. The former features
a silicone elastomer shell filled with sterile
saline liquid, whilst the latter has a silicone
shell filled with a viscous silicone gel.
In addition to types, breast implants also come
in two main shapes – Round or Teardrop.
The commonly-used Round implants provide greater
lift and appearance of fullness, though the
results can sometime appear “artificial”.
The Teardrop implants, on the other hand, give
a gently sloping contour to the breasts, thus
achieving a more natural-looking appearance.
At NICANOR, we are known for our exceptional
adoption of the Teardrop implant, though we
do also provide all other types of breast implants
with various options in size, shapes and textures
to suit the natural body shapes of our clients.
For patients seeking less invasive form of breast
enlargement, NICANOR also provides an alternative
form of treatment known as Macrolane, which
achieves increase of cup size through injections
of stabilised fillers into the breasts. Taking
only 30 to 90 minutes to complete, the procedure
leaves no scarring, yet provides aesthetic results
that can last up to 12 months.
